Temperament & Management
The Competitor
Athletic, forward, and mentally steady enough to stay useful under pressure. Has the engine to move up and the brain to stay there - doesn't need babysitting in warm-up or convincing at the gate. Suited to riders who want to climb levels, not just maintain them.
About this horse
Trail-focused AQHA gelding with extensive outside mileage, including overnight pack trips and long-distance hauling, this 2018 palomino is described as a handy, usable horse for an experienced rider. He has been used to move cattle and is reported to know leg cues, stop, back, collect, open gates, and handle simple lead work, with flying changes still in progress. He stands tied for extended periods, hobbles, trailers well, and is presented as sound with no health issues and easy-keeper management. Buyer caution is warranted around his stated "big personality," as the seller notes he tests new riders and is not best matched to a timid or novice hand.
