Temperament & Management
The All-Rounder
Comfortable in the middle of everything, which is rarer than it sounds. Enough forward to stay honest, enough patience to wait for you. Not a specialist - a generalist. The kind of horse that makes a good program great, or a rough patch survivable.
About this horse
$27,500 USD Disciplines: 6-Panel DNA Test N-N, Cowhorse, Cutting, Ranch Work, Ranching Heritage Breeders, Reining-Cowhorse-Cutting, Roping-Rope, Stallion-Stud-Breeding, Working Cattle Phoenix is a beautiful, heavy boned, conformationally balanced young stallion who got a late start and is just beginning his showing/working career. He has been lightly started in AQHA working cow horse as well as reining and he has also done a few ranch trail and ranch riding clinics. I purchased him for his proven ranch pedigree, coming from the A-Bar Ranch in Oklahoma, and his large bone and feet for his size, as well as his incredible intelligence and willingness. Phoenix never has a bad day, never acts stubborn, and has tons of common sense. He's level headed both at home and at shows and has a great attitude and fun personality. Phoenix is being offered for sale as well as stud, as we are collecting and freezing semen for our own future use, but he has way too much athletic potential to just stand in my yard and breed a few mares. He absolutely loves working cows but he tries his best at whatever you ask. Nice enough mover for the ranch riding while being quick and catty enough for real work. A truly nice horse. Would likely be beginner safe if gelded, but still very novice friendly as a stallion. *We are running a promotion on breeding for 2026; only $250 plus collection and shipping.*
