Good motor, even head. This horse wants to go, and mostly goes about it in an uncomplicated way. Athletic without the edge, forward without the drama. The kind of horse that makes ambitious goals feel possible without making every ride an event.
About this horse
*** Check out Pedigree ** Racing Champions on both sire and dam sides: Special Effort, Streakin La Jolla, Streakin Six, Whammy Cat, Mr. Jess Perry. Skipper W bred on sire side. Well started under saddle; Currently being rode 2 - 4 times a week. Knows all the basics and then some. Walk, trot, extended trot & lope both directions. Picks up both leads easily. Good stop, backs up nice, turns on hind end, side passes, stands quiet to be mounted. Will side pass to fence or mounting block to be mounted. Moves off leg pressure and has a soft mouth. Bends and flexes in the rib cage, neck and poll. Lopes very nice circles. Comfortable to sit and ride. Easy to catch, leads & ties. Easy to saddle & bridle. Loads/ unloads in trailer. Lunges good both directions. Works in round pen like a pro. Has only been rode in outdoor arenas. Has been started on the hot heels.. tracking and roping on the head side. Working on being quiet in the box, going after the machine and rating the steer. ***HAS NOT ROPED LIVE CATTLE. *** This will change as training on the hot heels and cattle continues *** Has been with cattle, pushing in a pen and down ally. working on barrel pattern; walk & trot & lope .... not pushing her for to much. Currently shod. Stands ok for farrier. Does paw when tied. Mare has a spicy attitude. Does better when turned out. Not a stall kept horse. I own sire and did own dam. Sire is on site.
