Temperament & Management
The Easy Day
Uncomplicated and content. Not trying to impress anyone, and that's exactly the appeal. Won't light up the arena, but won't ruin your Tuesday either. Consistent, low-key, and genuinely pleasant to be around - the horse that makes the hobby sustainable.
About this horse
Reining-bred and previously used in reining, cow reining, and Mexican Escaramusa, this 24-year-old AQHA buckskin mare is now offered for a much lighter role. The listing presents her as a family-kept horse best suited to easy trail riding and companionship rather than performance or speed work. Seller notes that she is no longer galloped and may have some arthritis, with a recent seasonal weight loss that is reportedly improving. She is described as gentle enough for supervised beginner use, older riders, and grandchildren, which suggests a quieter disposition appropriate for a retirement-style home.
