About this horse

Disciplines: Advanced Rider Recommended, Calf Roping, Cowhorse, Mounted Games, Ranch Riding-Ranch Pleasure, Ranch Versatility, Ranch Work, Reining-Cowhorse-Cutting, Team Roping-Heel, Trail Riding Chex Lucky Tiger (“Chedder Bay Biscuits ”) – AQHA Gelding Biscuits is a well-bred AQHA gelding with a solid foundation and real-world experience. Prior to me, he spent time on a working ranch in Oklahoma handling cattle, which gave him a job-minded, capable background. He knows and loves cows. Well started in healing has a big stop and it is very clever. He stands well for the farrier, is good for grooming and tacking, and is easy to handle on the ground. He picks up all four feet without much issue. He loads and unloads from the trailer quietly and hauls well. I purchased biscuits in 2023 since I have had him he has been used for extensive trail riding and mounted games. We have trailered all over for good trails, including taking the ferry boat over to Mackinac Island to ride for a week. All of our mounted games are SCA related, which involves Costumes and armor combat and other such fun nonsense. He is sure-footed, forward-moving, and enjoys having a job. He is not a beginner horse and is best suited for a confident, experienced rider who appreciates a responsive and opinionated horse. He has a bit of personality and “cow horse brain” — he will test you some days, but he is also talented, athletic, and rewarding for the right person. This is a horse that has done real work and still has plenty to give. Selling because I am moving in a different direction.
