About this horse

Smoky is an amazing horse. Big, beautiful and strong, he looks like something that a knight would have ridden into battle on, but his personality is anything but that as he is a big teddy bear and loves affection. His pasture mate just passed away, she was a rescue horse and sadly it was her time after all the abuse she suffered on the track. We do not wish to add another horse and have a temporary pasture mate with Smoky currently, so he needs to find another home with at least 1 more horse already there as he loves other horses! ... ( read more ) He's an exceptional ride with natural lead changes and jumps up to 4 feet with no real effort although we haven't tried to push him higher or train him as a jumper. He just seems to enjoy it. He needs at the minimum an above amateur rider who knows how to handle a horse as he can get a bit forward in the wrong hands but it easily handled for someone with experience riding. Easiest keeper I have ever seen, he has been stalled but could easily just live outside (although I will not sell him to someone without a barn and with the intention of keeping him outside). Great feet, regular ferrier care but they see zero need to shoe him. No vices and an absolute gentleman on the ground.
