Bear !

About this horse

9 year old 14.2 Connemara x New Forest pony gelding Bear spent the first several years of his life as someone’s pet so is still green for his age. He has proven though to be a very fast learner and aims to please. He jumps around small courses in the arena with a good jump and scope to move up as he gains more milage. He has done XC schooling and is the same honest guy out in the field. Bear is happy out trail riding alone or with company. ... ( read more ) He is still green, and can get a bit tense and looky at his surroundings at times, so will benefit from a rider who can continue to progress his training and stays confident when he gets a bit looky. He stands nicely tied on the cross ties, bathes, loads easily, and is good for the vet and farrier. He’s an easy keeper and happy living in or out. He has no history of health/soundness issues, no vices, and good feet. He is up to date on all his shots. He is stout and holds the leg well. Bear would be a fun project for an intermediate AA/kid to bring along and could be pointed in any direction.
