About this horse

$7,000 USD NEGOTIABLE Disciplines: Barefoot Hoofcare, Clicker Training, Draft, Rescue, Rider Level-Novice, Trail Riding, Western Selling due to no fault of his own. Willing to discuss including tack as well. ❔️General Info: • 6 yo, 16hh, blue roan Apaloosa/Draft gelding. Originally born on an Amish farm. Last wormed fall 2025 • Solid, healthy feet and teeth. Stands great for both farrier and dentist. Anesthetic not necessary. • No health issues while I\'ve owned him (bought August 2021). Up to date. 🏇🏼Training Info: • Lots of miles on trails, can lead or follow • Balanced brain! what he learns on one side translates well to the other. • Confident alone or in a group, both under saddle or in the pasture. • Loads himself in a trailer and stands well. • Western style, neck rein, no spurs or whip. More whoa than go. 🟣Quirks: • Has not been ridden in a year. Will likely need a refresher in the saddle. Ground manners rock! • Need more lope experience. More whoa than go, but occasionally "go" can be brief rodeo. • Shy around his face and ears at first. I believe this is from his Amish past. Will take bridle and halter, but bare hands can be spooky. This occasionally make him hesitant to be caught. A foundation of trust is very important. • Solid fence is also a must! He\'s too smart for his own good and pushes boundaries if fence is not electric or maintained. Unfortunately, I no longer have the work life balance to enrich and exercise his body and mind as much as I would like. He is a wonderful horse, but I know he would thrive more with someone who could give him more attention and activity. I can not brag about this horse enough, but I can also admit he would be happier with someone else.
