About this horse

Stallion AMHA/AMHR 5-year-old breeding stallion. He is lab tested NEGATIVE for all 4 known ACAN dwarf genes! He was 31.25" tall when we brought him permanent in AMHA. As of 9/15/25, he's roughly 31.75" (not on concrete/could have used a bit of a trim again). He is also DNA tested in AMHA. AMHR registration will go permanent when he is 6 years old. Stony is a grandson of LTD's Magic Man and Lucky Four Rebels Chasin Rainbows. He has proven show lineage and he himself should do excellent in the show ring. ... (read more) He is lab tested POSITIVE for FRAME OVERO and is HOMOZYGOUS black. He is a proven producer with two very, very limited foal crops under his belt (by our choice). He has produced a bay frame overo filly, a homozygous black blue-eyed splash colt, a bay overo colt, a black frame overo colt and a solid buckskin filly in 2025. Since we have other stallions, we did not use him for breeding. He hand and pasture breeds. He is only being offered we are cutting back the herd a bit since we acquired Billy Idol & Champion Farms Nighthawk sons in 2024 that will eventually be our upcoming herd sires. Once we start breeding this year, we may breed a select few mares to him again IF he's still here. He catches, leads, stands tied for grooming and hoof trimming, etc. He has been trailered once and did well even next to a group of mares (he was only separated by a plywood divider that he could see over). He is pastured next to bred & open mares without an electric fence and we don't have an issue. He likes to show off his stuff for them, trotting back and forth. While he is a stallion he is not a child's horse. If you would be looking for him to become one he would definitely need to be gelded as any stud should be. He has straight legs and a correct bite, good hooves. He has no known health issues that we are aware of. Has been stalled in the barn (next to bred & open mares) but is primarily outside in a pasture with a run-in shelter and does well all winter long. He is current on hoof trimming and deworming as well as his flu / tetanus vaccine every fall. Shipping Notes Coggins and health papers are additional.
