Temperament & Management
The Old Soul
Measured, forgiving, and built for teaching. This horse has processed enough chaos to stop being bothered by most of it. Won't set the ring on fire, but won't let you fall on your face either. Gives back exactly what you put in - with a little grace on top.
About this horse
$7,000 USD NEGOTIABLE Disciplines: Dressage, Saddle Seat Price negotiable, hoping to sell quickly Red (A Berry Dutch Boy) is a 2006 chestnut Arabian/Dutch Harness cross. He started out as a saddleseat horse but for the past few years we’ve been training and showing in dressage. This August we showed First Level, Test 1, and he scored in the 60s both days. Even at 19, he’s still super willing to try and picks up new moves easily. Temperament-wise, he’s about a 1 out of 10. He’s really calm, easy-going, and rarely gives me any trouble. He’s a pleasure to ride and handle, perfect for someone looking for a reliable, chill partner! He travels incredibly well, and is fast to adapt to new places. He makes it easy when you need to bathe, clip, or shoe him. He currently has bare feet, but I've been putting front shoes on him during the Spring and Summer. It’s hard to let him go, but with college taking up so much of my time, I can’t give him the attention or consistency he deserves. I'm also struggling with the financial side of things, so I need to sell him as quickly as possible. I’d love to find him a home where he’ll continue to be enjoyed and loved. Please reach out with any questions! I'd be happy to provide more info or videos and photos, if you’d like.
