The Old Soul
Measured, forgiving, and built for teaching. This horse has processed enough chaos to stop being bothered by most of it. Won't set the ring on fire, but won't let you fall on your face either. Gives back exactly what you put in - with a little grace on top.
About this horse
$15,000 Skills: All Around, Barrel, Barrel Racing, Calf Roping, Drill Team, Heading, Heel, Ranch, Ranch Versatility, Ranch Work, Rodeo, Rodeo Pickup, Roping, Trail Riding I don’t really know where to even start with Smurf. He’s more than just a horse! He’s a friend, a confidant and a kindhearted pal! He’s HUGE! Every bit of 16H and he carries himself with the grace of a 15H horse. He’s SAFE! Like I mean I’d probably put the little kids on him at the end of a ride. Totally unbothered by anything! I rode him last summer and fall and left him sit this winter and he rode off like he did it yesterday! He’s been back to riding for about 3 weeks now and he’s just a limitless pack of potential! He’s extremely soft in the mouth, he’s been on the trails and gets hauled various places to ride and he never gets excited or too full of it. It really doesn’t matter what’s going on around him either. He’s pretty locked into his rider and he just keeps going. I know I’ve mentioned his size, but we gotta talk about it for real! He’s as wide as he is tall and the easiest keeper you ever saw! He eats less than the 14H mare in the stall next to him! He would make a total heck of a rope horse, he’s bred to chase those cans, is quiet enough for a leisure trail ride, and athletic enough for the ranch classes. He’s even user friendly enough for the 4h kids. He loads/hauls like a champ, saddles and bits like a dream, is good with other horses, pastures or stalls, loves a good bath/brush. There are no holes or apologies to be made here! He’s everything and more! He sells UTD on vaccines, deworming, and a foot trim if I can get my farrier before he sells. He’s currently barefoot and sound. He had the strangles last fall so you won’t have to worry about that ever again!
