About this horse

$15,000 USD NEGOTIABLE Disciplines: 5-Panel DNA Test N-N, Barrels-Poles-Gymkhana, Breakaway Roping, Double Registered AQHA-APHA, Drill Team, Ranch Versatility, Reining-Cowhorse-Cutting, Team Roping-Heel, Team Sorting, Trail Riding Meet SmokinHotInHollywood aka Dually Dually is one of he quietest, calmest, horses I have ever started. With a personality guaranteed to make you laugh, Dually has really become quite the all around guy. Dually has been ridden in indoor/outdoor arenas, taken on trails, including a very extensive, rocky trail in Rocky Mountain National Park, where he was stepping up/down rocky ledges, and crossing water. he handled everything like a pro, and was very good about watching where he was stepping. Dually has even been ridden to town through a Walmart parking lot, and through a Taco bell drive thru. Nothing bothers this guy. He is very smart, willing, and gentle. I have had someone as young as 11 years old on him, and he did great. Dually knows W/T/C, knows his leads, is soft in the face, knows how to sidepass, backup, and turn around. He is still considered "green", but is so calm, and smart that I have zero concerns with him with most any rider. Due to him being young I would recommend an intermediate or above rider, or a beginner working with a good, qualified trainer. He does have an impressive stride and will move out when asked, he is not a deadhead. His size makes him great for a younger rider, or an older person not wanting to climb a mountain to get on. Dually stands about 14 hands right now but is going through a growth spurt. I wouldn't expect him to surpass 14.2 hands. Dually stands tied, to be bathed, to have his feet done, he loads in step up and ramp trailers like a dream, backs out of the trailer, he has been hauled all over the place, and is solid in new places. Dually is hobble broke as well. He rides over obstacles, bridges, and has even gone swimming in the pond bareback. Dually is completely sound, and is currently barefoot with great feet. I purchased Dually when he was 9 months old, and have done all of the training on him thus far. I start colts, and train my own horses for resale, so this is what I do. Dually is ridden regularly and his price will climb as he continues to be ridden. he is going to be started on the heel side of the roping sled. He has a big stride despite his size, and would make an awesome heel horse, ranch riding/versatility horse, non pro level reining/cowhorse with training. I even think he would make a decent barrel/gymkhana horse. He is currently being ridden on a drill team, and he excels at that as well. He is an all around guy ready to find his forever home. He has an amazing mind, and I would be keeping him if he was bigger. I am a header, and just need a bigger horse to be towing steers. Shipping is available anywhere. Pre Purchase exams are welcome and encouraged. Please reach out if you are interested or have any questions about Dually.
