About this horse

SOLD Skills: Athletic, Dressage, Endurance, Eventing, Flashy, Jumper, Jumping, Project, Show Jumping, Started Under Saddle I need this one moved ASAP! Meet Rose, an 8yr 14:1hh fully titled Mustang who is also registered with NAMAR. She is very sweet and friendly and has no health problems. Rose is green trained with a solid walk/trot under saddle. She has had a few canters under saddle but is still new to it. She has never bucked, reared, bolted, but can be looky. For the sole reason of being under-experienced, she would do best with an intermediate+ rider who is not a total newbie. Rose is light on the bit and will move off of leg pressure to an extent. She could really excel in eventing, but would also do well in other disciplines. She is careful about knocking poles and has jumped 3.5ft with room to go higher! (*Free jumping, not under saddle*) Rose has been ridden western, english, and bareback and been on a few trail rides so far (with an experienced buddy) where she has crossed water and logs. Rose is easy to catch, stands tied (regular + cross ties), is good with fly spray and picks up all 4 feet and stands for farrier, though she is still working on it and can move around a bit. She is a great balance of whoa and go! Not lazy by any means, nor is she hot. She will get a little more forward on trails but it’s not unmanageable. While not 100% bombproof, Rose is sensible and BRAVE! Her go-to is to walk towards the scary thing! She has never once tried to stop at a jump, no matter how funny it looks. You point her at it and she’s all game to give it her best! Please Note: ⭐She has had all 4 hooves trimmed since taking the pictures. ⭐She has an old scar on the neck, and a newer one above her eye. Both are pictured and neither one bothers her at all. ⭐While currently barefoot and sound, she does have thin soles. This does not make her lame, but makes her more susceptible to bruising when on rocks or under heavy work. For reference: she has bruised one of her soles once over the past 15 months I’ve had her, and it made her lame on hard surfaces only for about 3 days. I have current X-rays and can confirm she has super angles and absolutely no rotation. Her hooves are hard, resistant, and healthy! She’s never had thrush, abscesses or any other kind of infection etc. And she lives in a wet, wet valley 24/7. The vet said that putting shoes on her should bring her possibility of getting bruises way way down. ⭐She has some insecurities that we are working through which makes her a tad bit herd bound. Nothing crazy and she’s getting better about it every day! She is easy to catch, and I ride her in the arena alone. I have not tried taking her out on trails alone. The main thing is that when something makes her nervous (a loud truck goes by etc.), she will try to find comfort in the herd. She will paw if tied when this happens. It’s not unmanageable or dangerous by any means. Rose is a sweet mare, with tons of potential. With the right person, she could easily turn into a 30k horse. PPEs are welcome at buyer’s expense. I’m not holding anything back with this mare. A good fit is important to me so ask any questions you have! I am currently considering all offers as I don’t have the space and need to get her moved soon. Come meet her - you’ll love her! I would consider a trade for: ⭐Mare or gelding around the same size ⭐No spook & can take a joke. ⭐Been there - done that type with a little go when asked. ⭐Not buddy sour/ can ride out on trails alone. ⭐Older is ok, but no health concerns. Message/Text/Call me with any questions!
