He is barefoot & UTD on trim, wormer, coggins, vaccines, dental float, & vet check. He has a lovely floaty trot & rocking horse canter. He moves off of leg pressure, is soft in the bridle, picks up the correct leads, & has auto changes in the ring. He is willing over a jump or log & we could see him having a future with jumping. He is a good mix of whoa & go. Raider is rather versatile & athletic. He is being ridden by beginners, including an 8y/o girl. She was a timid rider and wasn't confident at the canter, but he helped her overcome that fear. He does great with all riding levels. He is too nice of a horse to waste his potential just sitting in a field & only being ridden once in a while. We have done desensitizing work with him & he's doing great! He isn't reactive or nervous. Raider will hit the trails & will walk through crazy downtown. He is fine walking beside traffic but may get a little watchy with semis. He is sure footed & travels where you point him. Raider is very friendly & sweet! He loves getting attention & has a goofy personality. Great ground manners, too! He gets along in a mixed herd, respects fencing, & can live out or be stalled. Stands for the vet & to lift his feet. One of the high school girls took him to a Rolling Rock pony club group trail ride & he did great! He is broke to drive single or double, but we haven't hitched him. His former owner said he has some pep & needs more exposure to large trucks. (He does fine riding in traffic, though so that may not be an issue any longer.) Raider would make a fancy english mount, & could excel at cross country, fox hunts, shows, cart classes, lessons, dressage, & more with some finishing. He has learned so much in the 7 mos we've had him & has a nice foundation already. Seriously, he is more amazing every day! We are in no rush to sell & the longer he stays, the more his price will increase. Raider is very intelligent, learns quickly, enjoys having a job, & has a great mind.
