About this horse

SOLD Skills: All Around, Beginner, Draft, Driving, Experienced, Finished, Harness, Husband Safe, Kid Safe, Lesson, Parade, Playday, Pleasure Driving, Ridden Western, School, Team Driving, Trail, Trail Riding, Trained, Western Riding, Working, Youth Hershey's Larry and Hershey's Lonnie are a once in a lifetime find. Here is a team of full brothers that check all the boxes. Larry and Lonnie have been together all their life as we got them from the farm where they were raised at. They are the type of team that if you can't drive them you'd better stick with a tractor. They have been through parades and out in heavy traffic a lot and absolutely nothing faces them. Larry and Lonnie have been in all types of farm equipment, anything from the liquid fertilizer sprayer, plow, manure spreader, pulling logs out of the woods. Here is a team that is broke the best and anyone can drive them but they are also not too lazy to be useful around the farm. They will stand nice when you get off the wagon to open the gates and when loading manure they don't mind the loud tractor. Larry and Lonnie also don't mind driving single or going out on a trail ride alone. They have been driven on either side of the tongue and tantom in front of each other. They are very easy to back up and swing on Gee and Haa commands. After they're done working it is very easy to back the wagon right onto the barn. Larry and Lonnie have done about anything here on the farm from working in farm equipment, to giving rides in the merry-go-round, to meeting kids in the petting area. They get along great with other animals in the pasture and will walk up to you when you go out to bring them in. Here is a team that will fit for the whole family and if you like to have something a little different from anyone else, here something you just don't find everyday!! Hershberger's Farm For more than 35 years, the Hershberger family has been raising and training high-quality draft and draft cross horses. These horses have been sold and are being used in over 25 States as well as throughout Canada. Known for providing traffic-safe and sound horses, Hershberger's Farm is pleased to offer attractive horses that look good and work well. The horses are also known as being versatile and many of them can be ridden English or Western and can be driven single and double. You will also find "Hershey" Horses in mounted patrol units around the United States. It takes a special horse to work in law enforcement. It takes a unique blend of temperament and personality combined with the right size and athletic ability to even qualify as a mounted patrol horse. From there, it takes great training to prepare each horse to perform well in the stressful environments that police horses are exposed to. View Farm Directory Listing
