( read more ) Let me introduce Bear. After you get to know him, he will remind you of a cuddly teddy ? Bear is picture-perfect standing 15.1hh & 1300lbs. He is absolutely one of a kind. Bear has a beautiful, thick main and tail and loves to stand for hours to be brushed and braided. You will just fall in love with his great disposition. Bears HISTORY.... Bear was purchased from us 2 years ago. To be a part of a small therapeutic riding program in Chicago, Illinois. He is loved & adored. He was rode through flocks of sheep & milking cows. They spent lots of time working on dressage moves in their indoor. His owner has decided to get into Western Pleasure & wants to start showing. They must decrease their herd to make room. Before this, Bear lived in Tennessee on an exclusive trail riding resort where he packet well-known politicians in the arena & down the trail. Rider that has never rode before or seen a horse. There are not many Draft Cross that ride like this guy. He is more of a push style but will lope off from a stand still. He has a rocking chair lope and will jog slow and soft. Bear has a one hand neckrein, gets his leads, side pass, will do turnarounds, works a gate, is back soft, and he has a huge stop. He will ride away from the barn with no funny business, in big groups, or out alone. He’s seen all kinds of wildlife and spent many miles in the fields and woods. He will do all the trail obstacles with no hesitation and an absolute blast to ride. He is great for any level rider, young or old. Bear also rides english. He's started going over small jumps and seems to enjoy it. He spent the last couple of months working on his dressage moves. Bear has the best ground manners, is easy to catch in the field, and gets along with other horses. He stands for saddling, bathing, and for the farrier. Currently, Bear is barefoot and does not require shoes. He will kindly drop his head to make bridling easy. With just a snap of your finger, Bear will side pass to a picnic table, truck bed, log, or trailer fender to make mounting easy. He’s 100% sound with no vices and up to date on vaccinations. Check out Bear video and make an appointment today to meet him.
