Scotty is well trained and gentle and has good conformation and put together like one should be. Built to last! He is as good to ride as he is to look at. In the arena he has a good one hand neck rein, will collect up and is light in the face. He moves off of hand and leg cues with ease. He has a smooth way of traveling with a comfortable slow jog and a rocking chair lope. Scotty will lope out on cue always taking the correct lead. Stops like a dead end street! Side passes to open and close the gates and backs well. He is solid to ride out anywhere from our busy neighborhood streets to the rugged mountain trails. He is a been there and done that kind of a guy. The urban scene is of no concern to him and he is calm and reliable with fast passing vehicles, bicycles, motorcycles, farm animals as well as the barking charging dogs we encounter at the fence. He is equally as solid on the mountain trails and will lead or follow, ride peacefully in any position of the group and will go out alone. He navigates our steep rocky terrain like a mountain goat and goes wherever we ask him. go over around or thru it no trouble. Crosses the deep river, trail bridges and is used to the wildlife. Has been trail ridden in multiple states. Scotty is also an experienced ranch horse and has done all the ranch chores and used in the feed yard. He has roped and doctored sick cattle and loaded and sorted cattle. Nothing seems to get him shook up. Whether its loud speakers, mad momma cows or unruly bulls he will stand his ground and keep his composure. He's the right age the right color and is 100% safe sane and sound. Sold!
