Draft Horse 16.2hh Black Overo

About this horse

SOLD Checkers is a weanling colt that was an oops baby by the neighbors stud.. but.. WOW!! Isn’t he gorgeous?! He is out of a Spotted Draft mare and by a Friesian/Morgan stud. This guy has color, personality, and presence. He is as sweet as can be and loves attention. Checkers does all the baby basics. Picks up his feet, leads, ties, loads, and stands in a stall. He is super easy to handle and a joy to be around. He should mature around 16.2-17hh. ... ( read more ) He is a BIG boy. He can be a typical baby and randomly plant his feet from time-to-time but a little pull or a turn around to get his feet working again does the trick. He is insanely calm and mellow. He doesn’t care about a single thing. We have ponied him through the trails, he’s been around vehicles, farm machinery, dogs, cats, chickens, ducks, hogs, goats, you name it! He’s very well desensitized and he isn’t a rocket donkey. He’s one of the most chill babies ever. He’s an in your pocket/in your face type but isn’t pushy or ornery about it.
