He has had professional training and has been in good hands his whole life. He has been used on the ranch as well as on many overnight camping trips. In the arena Sarge will have a good one hand neck rein and move off your leg and hand cues with ease. He is extremely smooth traveling with a nice comfortable jog and lope. Takes his leads, has a good stop, will back soft and will side pass with ease open and close gates. Sarge is a really good and reliable Trail Horse. He confidently picks his way through rugged terrain and is sure footed in the rocks. He has a good working ranch horse kind of walk and will happily lead but is content to fit into any position of a group as well as being rode out on his own. Sarge confidently crosses the rushing river, small creeks and deadfall like the dependable partner he is. He is also very good in urban environments. He’s solid about fast passing vehicles as well as with all of the other things we ride past including the farm animals and the usual charging and barking dogs that we frequently ride past. Sarge has worked at the sale barn sorting cattle and doctoring sick cattle and is quite handy for a horse of his size. He always aims to please and is a pleasure to ride and be around. Gets along very well turned out with other horses. He’s good to tie, tack, mount, shoe, bathe, load and haul. This is a great horse that will fit a large range of riders.
