About this horse

$12,000 USD Disciplines: 5-Panel DNA Test N-N, Barefoot Hoofcare, Breakaway Roping, Foundation-Bred, Intermediate Rider Recommended, Mountain Trail, Ranch Versatility, Trail Riding Lil is a 2017 model red mare with a huge heart and a whole lot of personality, looking for her next dedicated partner. She’s the kind that picks her person—the one she nickers for when you walk into the barn and meets you at the gate, ready to go to work. Lil thrives with a confident, experienced rider who appreciates a mare that communicates and gives her all. She loves being first out of the barn and is happiest when she has a job. With a solid all-around western foundation, Lil has shown in Western State Stock Horse, enjoys trail riding, ranch riding, and would make a handy prospect for roping. She also makes yearly trips to the Oregon Horse Center Mountain Trail Course and has logged many miles at Perrydale Trails. She’s brave, athletic, and excellent on trails—alone or with company. Lil is currently barefoot and has never been shod. Best suited for: A confident, experienced rider looking to build on her training and form a true partnership. Pros: • Athletic & hardworking • Great out on trails alone • Handy, willing, and fun to ride • Cute red mare with personality to spare Disclosure: Lil has a shorter epiglottis that can occasionally displace. When this happens, she may cough briefly, sort herself out, and then continue on without issue. She has been scoped by OSU, and vet records are available. Due to this, she would not be suited for disciplines requiring prolonged peak stamina at critical moments (such as cowhorse or reining). Lil is a lot of horse in a fun, compact package and will make an excellent partner for the right rider.
