This tall, gorgeous, true blue roan is absolutely stunning, foundation bred with papers packed with greats, large in stature and pure in heart. “Ruger” is not the kind of horse you find just anywhere - he’s been in shows and clinics, trail ridden extensively, pushed cows and done sorting, lightly started on the barrel pattern and rides very nicely. Ruger knows how to pick up his leads, collect, has a naturally low head set, pivot, side pass, lope beautiful circles and has great breaks. ... Raise a hand and snap and he’ll side pass over and patiently wait for you to climb aboard and get settled in. Ruger also has excellent ground manners, has a lot of ground work training; yields hind quarters and forequarters, backs with a wiggle of the lead rope, lunges nicely, and round pens like a champ. Easy to load and unload, stands tied nicely for hours, well mannered for the farrier, fly spray, hosing and bathing, desensitized to all sorts of objects, and more. Just an all around solid fella, looking for his next rider and friend. Ruger could go pretty much any direction with what he’s already been up to. He’s an easy keeper, has great barefoot hooves, and the only maintenance he requires is very affordable allergy shots twice a year.
