He is 6 years old. He has been used extensively as a ranch horse and knows what a day’s work looks like. Whether you’re checking fences, gathering cattle, or trail riding through tough terrain, Buddy is the kind of horse you can count on. Well built and a very sweet, 'in your pocket' kind of horse, his name fits him well- he really does want to be your best 'buddy'! He’s been ridden by an 8-year-old in the Little Britches rodeo circuit and is in barrels and poles. He is finished, and does his job well. Buddy would be an excellent prospect for high school rodeo, as he’s already well-versed in rodeo events and isn’t bothered by noise, crowds, or new environments. He’s handy as the pocket on your shirt, will hold a rope without hesitation. Most of his roping experience has been outside, making him a great fit for ranch work or cowboy competitions. He knows how to track and hold cattle and stays calm under pressure. Buddy has also seen plenty of trail miles. He’s been ridden all over, including Land Between the Lakes in Kentucky and Buffalo River in Tennessee. He’s sure-footed on rocky trails, steady on steep inclines, and confident crossing water. Nothing seems to phase him, whether it’s wildlife, mud, or narrow bridges. This horse is trail-savvy and ready for adventure. One of Buddy’s standout traits is his athleticism. He can easily jump 36” and approaches obstacles with a willing and bold attitude. Whether you’re looking for a horse to take to trail challenges, use for 4-H events, or just ride around the farm, Buddy fits the bill. He’s got the personality to match his abilities – kind, easy to catch, great ground manners, and respectful. He loads and hauls with no trouble and settles in quickly wherever he goes. If you’re looking for a dependable gelding with a great foundation, youth experience, and plenty of trail and ranch miles, Buddy is your guy. He’s honest, broke, and ready to go to work – or just go have fun. He has had a PPE and is up-to-date on everything.
