She came to us looking like crap and has made huge progress. First time we rode her, she was fantastic and the kids fooled around on her. The second time, a month later, she flipped on someone after taking a few steps. She was underweight, had diarrhea, a cold and had no muscle or top line. Plus, she is not a pretty mare. She needs someone who can give her a soft landing and help her blossom into the horse she can be. ... ( read more ) Her price reflects, and I’m also interested in a payment plan. Selling a horse in this state is unlike me, as I always rehab horses to the fullest and do all the hard work, but me and this mare don’t click at all. She was bought as a project for some students, and this is not the horse I want their first experience to be with. On the ground she is a great citizen, picks up feet great, stands for grooming, blanketing, etc. Not food aggressive or buddy sour. Vet aged 12-14, grade QH, 14.2ish. When the vet looked at her, she says that she needs muscle and fat. Farrier says that she had foundered in the past, and it will take 6 months or so to grow out that part.
