About this horse

Disciplines: Cowhorse, Intermediate Rider Recommended, Mountain Trail, Pack, Ranch Riding-Ranch Pleasure, Ranch Sorting, Ranch Work, Roping-Rope, Team Penning Ranch Gelding spent 5 years doing everything on the Simplot Ranch on ID-NV border. 15 hands even; about 1100 lbs. 13 years old with no health issues. Very solid in the saddle in mountains, rough trails, rocks, logs, down trees, bogs, rocky creeks to high water crossings, snow. Puts his feet together for hobbles, good on high-line, nosebags & other horses. Easy keeper: doesn't overeat. I love his gaits most: can sit each gait very comfortably. Oct 2024 spent 19 hours in 2 days gathering cows/calves on Montana mountain. Has lots of bottom. Good lead horse for packing into wilderness; really takes to sorting cows; good at roping in branding pen. Ready for team roping and loves to run. One issue is he's cautious around his right eye/face and used to spook easily, but has really improved and calmed down. Prefers to not get caught, but will stop and wait. Just a great ride in mountains. Will give you a lot of confidence in tough situations and you'll get nice compliments. (More photos available: [contact info removed])
