About this horse

$29,000 USD NEGOTIABLE Disciplines: Ranch Riding-Ranch Pleasure, Ranch Sorting, Ranch Trail Class, Ranch Versatility, Ranch Work, Reining, Reining-Cowhorse-Cutting 2016 Cow Horse/Ranch Versatility Mare ready for a new chapter Located in Carbondale, CO. Looking for a solid non-pro boxing/bridle/ranch versatility horse? Ivy is your go to girl! She’s been there and done it. Seasoned, finished cow horse ready to take you to the next level. Impeccable cow sense, eye appeal, super cowy, and loves to cut. Has done great in local ranch versatility shows – 2023 Western Slope Ranch Versatility Challenge Champion (high point across 7 shows), 2025 Spring Gather Non-Pro Champion, 2025 Grand Junction Horse Show Association COWN Non-Pro Boxing Champion, 2025 Limited Non-Pro Heritage of the Horse Champion, and consistently scores 70.5-72 in boxing classes. Would make an excellent broodmare after her show career but has a lot left to accomplish. Sire has LTE of $280,000. Grandsire is leading cutting sire since 2003 with progeny earnings over $98 million. Easy to get along with, and gentle enough to ride bareback with a halter. She’s the same no matter if she’s turned out for months or ridden consistently. Shown in NRCHA futurities as a 3-year old, then turned out and ridden sparingly until I bought her as a 6-year old. Has been ridden out on the ranch, drug calves to the fire, sorted on, and a pleasure on the trail. In front of a cow, she lights up so be ready for a ride! She’s got a big stop, lots of buttons, smooth lead changes, nice spins, and will safely navigate you through trail obstacles. About 14.2 hands, low maintenance, up to date on vaccines, worming, and coggins. Can’t say enough nice things about this talented mare. Please PM for more info. Video link: [contact info removed]
