Pennie has a super thick build to her and is put together very well. She is athletic, strong all while being calm, gentle and reliable. She is laid-back and friendly, has a sweet disposition. she loves attention and is a joy to be around. She is an awesome, in your pocket trail horse, and has spent equally amount of time in the arena as well. ... (read more ) She will one hand neck rein, lope circles both ways while taking the correct leads, and has a great stop. Her lope is super smooth and enjoyable to ride. On the trail she is safe and surefooted. She navigates even the roughest terrain with ease and will go anywhere that you ask her to. Whether it is up and down steep hills, through water or mud or over trees and through brush, she will get you where you need to be and do it safely. She will ride in the front or back, alone or with a group. No buddy or barn sour with this one and she is traffic safe. She would be a great horse for 4H, and halter, pleasure, and performance events. She may not be the fastest, but she sure can get the job done. Pennie would be best suited for an intermediate rider simply for the skill set level. We have used her in riding lessons with kids and she has done excellent.
