About this horse

$16,500 USD NEGOTIABLE Disciplines: Competitive Trail Riding, Cowboy Mounted Shooting, Drill Team, Intermediate Rider Recommended, Mountain Trail, Ranch Rail Class, Ranch Riding-Ranch Pleasure, Ranch Trail Class, Ranch Versatility, Trail Riding Roo, is a 10yr old bay roan quarter horse gelding, standing 16h. Roo has a thick build, and can carry about anyone! He is very well broke to ride, and a gentleman to be around in the barn or on the trail. He has great ground manners and is respectful of space when it comes to horses and humans. He stands to be saddled, for grooming, and to have his feet done- does well hard tied or in cross ties. Easy keeper with good feet and straight legs. He can be turned out with other horses or alone, in a paddock or out on 30 acres and still easy to catch. Roo can also be kept in a stall and he doesn't pick up any bad stall habits, good eater indoors, outdoors and on the road. Load and unloads from a trailer without a fuss. Roo rides very nicely in the arena, indoors, outdoors or on the trail. He will pick up both leads, stop, and backup nicely! He moves off of leg pressure, neck reins, and direct reins! He has three beautiful gaits that are easy to ride behind. He moves great and has a fun to ride for an intermediate/confident rider. He will collect up, or ride on a loose rein. Roo ride great on the trails alone or with others. He is surefooted going up and down hills and through the mud! He doesn't mind being around dogs or other livestock. He crosses creeks, steps over logs, and goes through brush easily. Send him through obstacles or a ranch class and he will do well.
