About this horse

SOLD Everybody always wants fat pretty safe sane horses that you don’t have to guess the age on well I got one. Tilly Chantilly Retama Tilly is a 18yo AQHA mare with papers and signed transfer in hand. She stands about 15-15.1 hands and is as wide as she is tall. ? easy keeper she’s this far off just gras and hay. Leads loads clips ties and baths stands for the ferrier stands to mount and loves attention. Tilly has only had 2 owners in her life the man in Illinois that raised her and me. She was previously used to push and dr cattle in Illinois but since being with me she’s been used for begginer lessons and hanging out in my pasture. Tilly rides in a regular o ring snaffle. One hand neck reins backs and will spin on a dime. But quiet enough to let kids hack around her. Absolutely no spook buck rear bite bolt or kick. Laid back and easy going. Way more whoa then go would be perfect for a kid learning fyi she is no speed demon. Quiet on the trails ride through traffic and will take you up town for a drink. Or she will make a hell if a nice brood mare wigh names like Driftwood ike and freckles whimpy king. Now for the bad when I got Tilly she had a knot on her right front fetlock. I asked the pervious owner about it and he said she was kicked as a foal by another broodmare but it only affected her if ridden like she was chasing 100 head of cattle. She has stayed sound during lessons and trail rides BUT if you get on her and hammer her like you trying to run the Kentucky derby she will come up sore. We had a ppe done on her last week and the vet said she has some arthritis in that fetlock. But it wouldn’t affect her if trail ridden or packing kids around. But let’s be honest most horses her age that HAVE seen a hard days work insted of being Becky’s cookie eating pasture pet will have some form of maintenance. He said give her aspirin or put her on equinox if you ride her hard and you will be fine. Up to date on everything Willing to share more info and ppe with SERIOUS buyers Located in Marion sc Swampfox Farms Selling and training quality horses we have multiple references from out of state buyers and work closely with our vets and clients to make sure everything is as it should be We also offer occasional boarding and have multiple stud prospects coming in the next two years We have 300+ acres all pastures have run in sheds with automatic watering and hay 24/7 We do occasionally rescue horses from sales destined for the kill pens or pulled out of kill pens all horses can have a ppe done at buyers exspence
