Oldenburg 16.2hh Bay

About this horse

$3,500 Skills: Dressage, Endurance, Eventing, Field Hunter, Trail Riding 2012 Bay Oldenburg mare, approx. 16.2hh+ at the wither, seeking a new zip code. She is papered and has done a lot in her career — including 3-day events and attempts at open horse shows. She is a lot of horse and is not for the meek or mild. She loves the trails and is best suited for a confident rider in a consistent, low-drama program. She loves having a job but is very clear that open horse shows are not her thing. She has plenty of energy and a few quirks, and does best with a thoughtful, experienced horse person or program. ... (read more) She is a good herd mare — goes out well with others (seniors and babies) while establishing appropriate herd boundaries. She is currently on an all-forage diet and looks fantastic. Auto lead changes, will pop over a fence no problem. Very forward (think eventer!). She does have maintenance, but when her routine is followed, she is 100% sound under saddle (happy to disclose). She is currently coming back from a cosmetic paddock injury (10/25) and has been on limited/paddock rest. She is just beginning to return to groundwork, so a patient, correct restart is key. UTD on teeth, shots, and hooves (currently barefoot, wears standard fronts when in work). Maiden, but would make a lovely broodmare prospect. Asking mid four figures— reasonable offers considered for an exceptional home. A good home is an absolute must.
