About this horse

$5,000 USD NEGOTIABLE Disciplines: Barrel Racing, Ranch Riding-Ranch Pleasure, Ranch Work, Reining, Reining-Cowhorse-Cutting, Roping-Rope, Steer Roping, Team Roping, Trail Riding, Western HQH Gunner Up is a sweet, young AQHA-registered 2025 dun Hancock-bred colt with a kind, willing nature and a bright future ahead of him. My husband purchased him at the Herminson auction in North Dakota, and we shipped him to California along with another colt and two bred mares—so we are currently full-on baby season here. He is linebred to Double TC Hancock on both the sire and dam sides, a pedigree well known for producing sound, gritty, all-day using horses with strong bone, good feet, cow sense, and excellent minds. His bloodlines include Ray Tucker Jr, Ms Poco Roan Hancock, Tiny Cee Bars, High Blue Jackson, and Sefus Hancock, making him a true foundation-style prospect bred for ranch work, roping, and versatile all-around use. He has been gentled and halter broke and is just beginning lunging and basic voice commands. He is smart, responsive, and nimble on his feet, with a notably kind spirit. I am offering him for sale now because my plan is to turn him out to pasture until he’s three before starting him under saddle. He has all the ingredients to be something special and will be a gem for someone wanting a well-bred Hancock colt with the brain and build to match.
