About this horse

$7,000 USD 10 yo John Mule – 15 HH – $7,000 Offered for sale: 10 yo, 15 HH Appaloosa John Mule (approx 1000 lbs) UTD on vaccines, dentals and trims with strong healthy feet and no known soundness issues. Finn has been schooled in several 3 day horsemanship clinics and has had weekly trainer assistance for the past 18 months. This mule gets along well with other animals, is very friendly and enjoys people. He is easy to catch, ties well, good to saddle, sides up to the mounting block, stands quietly for mounting, loads and trailers well, good for the vet, easily picks up all four feet and is good for the farrier. Under saddle he has three comfortable gaits, a good backup, stop and can pivot on both front and hind end. Although he can do all this, it takes some encouragement for him to have impulsion when asked. He has a nice forward walk on the trail and can ride in front or back with a group of riders. On occasion he can still be a bit spooky and will need help in his training to continue building confidence. He has been progressing well in his training and shows a lot of potential but he needs more work on learning to be soft to the bit and through his neck while moving his feet when asked. Because of this he would do best with a mule-savvy owner who is patient and willing to continue his training. This is a nice young mule with a good mind and a lot of potential for the right person. Selling only because I work full time and don’t have the time to continue his training as he deserves.
